An announcement was made by the Missouri Governor last week that the Missouri National Guard will begin assisting the Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS) and other State partners in establishing COVID-19 vaccination sites across the state. A mass vaccination team is assigned to each of Missouri's nine Highway Patrol regions.

There were 127 confirmed (PCR tests) cases in Cass County in the last week, down from the 150 cases the week prior. In addition, there were 69 probable cases (antigen tests and other cases), up from 63 cases the week prior.

On February 15, 2021, the state of Missouri released additional guidance for Missouri vaccinators regarding the residency status of those seeking a COVID-19 vaccine in the state.

NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J., April 13, 2021– The safety and well-being of the people who use our products is our number one priority. We are aware of an extremely rare disorder involving people with blood clots in combination with low platelets in a small number of individuals who have received our COVID-19 vaccine. 

The state of Missouri announced that Cass Regional Medical Center has been selected as a high-throughput vaccinator as part of Missouri’s new vaccine distribution plan. The hospital is scheduled to receive additional vaccine doses every other week beginning Feb. 8, enabling the organization to accommodate its first-dose vaccine appointments that were already scheduled. Plans for future first-dose vaccine clinics starting the week of Feb. 22 are in development and will be announced within the next few days. 

(JEFFERSON CITY, MO) – Today, Governor Mike Parson announced that the first shipments of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccines have arrived in Missouri. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) issued an Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) for the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine on Friday, December 11, confirming its safety and effectiveness. 

Cass Regional Medical Center continues to be a force in the fight to end the COVID-19 pandemic. In the weeks since the hospital was selected as a high-throughput vaccinator as part of Missouri’s revised vaccine distribution plan, Cass Regional has vaccinated thousands more area residents. 

Governor Mike Parson announced the launch of the Missouri Vaccine Navigator, a secure registry tool to assist Missourians in receiving a COVID-19 vaccine.

The Missouri COVID-19 vaccine website is being launched in Missouri. MOStopsCOVID.com website will provide information regarding the safety of the vaccines, research and production processes, and when they may be eligible for vaccination. 

During Thursday's press briefing at the State Capitol, Governor Mike Parson announced that Phase 1B - Tier 3 of the state’s COVID-19 Vaccine Plan will be activated on Monday, March 15, 2021.
